Community Guidelines

Over the next 90 days, salons and spas across the country will be focusing on one shared goal: building the habits that drive consistent, measurable growth.

This community is here to support that journey.

Inside this space you can:

  • Share wins and progress from your team
  • Ask questions and learn from other participants
  • Exchange ideas and best practices
  • Stay connected with others participating in the Challenge

One of the most powerful parts of this experience is knowing you're not doing it alone. Dozens of companies are tracking, learning, and growing together.

Our Guiding Principle: The Answer Is in the Room

While Qnity provides the structure, tools, and expertise, our systems and methodologies are founded in real experiences from beauty and wellness professionals like you. We believe that sharing these experiences is how we all learn and grow together.

This community operates on the belief that there is greater room for all of us at the top when we build it together.

How We Show Up

We conduct ourselves as professionals seeking to elevate our businesses and this industry.

This is a trusted space where:

âś“ Vulnerability is embraced. Share your challenges openly. Leadership can be lonely, but here, you're understood.

âś“ Feedback comes in the form of questions, not directives. Instead of "You should do this" or "I do it this way," we ask:

  • "Have you thought about...?"
  • "Have you considered...?"
  • "Have you tried...?"
  • "What if you approached it from...?"

This creates space to contemplate ideas, collect information, and choose what fits best for your unique business.

âś“ We celebrate every win - big and small. A $2 ticket increase. One extra client. Consistent tracking for the first time. Progress over perfection, always.

✓ We support, not compete. This is a CHALLENGE, not a contest.  One success doesn't diminish another - it inspires it.

âś“ We offer insight from experience, not assumptions. Share what worked (or didn't) for you, and let others decide if it fits their context.

âś“ We maintain confidentiality. This is a VAULT. Numbers, struggles, and vulnerabilities shared here stay here. Period.

What We Ask of You

Engage with intention.
Show up. Participate. Ask questions. Share your story. The community is what you make of it.

Be generous with encouragement.
A simple "I see you" or "This is great progress" can change someone's week.

Respect boundaries.
Do not ask others directly for proprietary materials like handbooks, policies, or internal documents. Share strategies and insights, not intellectual property.

Stay curious, not judgmental.
Every business is different. What works in one salon may not work in another. Approach every conversation with curiosity and openness.

Keep it professional and kind.
We're all navigating challenges. Lead with empathy, grace, and respect.

Remember

You are part of a national movement of beauty and wellness professionals committed to measurable growth, stronger teams, and better businesses.

The answer is in the room.
There is room for all of us at the top.
Let's build it together.

Welcome to the 17% Growth Challenge Community. We're honored to have you here.

17% Challenge Frequently Asked Questions

Webinars & Weekly Meetings:

  • I missed a webinar - are they recorded?
  • Which team members should attend the webinars and weekly meetings?  Are these for the full team?  Are these required?
    • The webinars are opportunities for OWNERS and LEADERS to learn about the 17% Growth Challenge and learn how to implement tracking.
    • The ongoing coaching sessions are Live huddles (30-45 min) for OWNERS and LEADERS where we will all celebrate wins from the previous week, announce selected winners, and offer Q&A for feedback from the group.
    • We strongly urge at least ONE LEADER to attend every session.  Office Hours with Candice are optional, and they are a great opportunity to go deeper with questions or ask for support from the expert.

Who Is Included In Tracking?

  • What if we’re already using Qnity’s Weekly Growth Tracker?
    • Qnity clients who are already using the Weekly Growth Tracker with their teams will have the customized 17% Weekly Growth Tracker added to your current digital tool folder keeping all of your tools in one place!
  • I am an owner who is not looking to grow my numbers, should I be included in Tracking?
      • You can forgo individual tracking for yourself. Be sure to include your sales in the location track.
  • How do you ADD or REMOVE team members?
    • The Qnity team will help with your request.  Use the Add/Remove column of the Jotform located on the Instructions tab of your tool.  We do our best to complete these requests within 24-48 hours.  You may also use any of the “open” tabs at the end of your Tracker.
    • Q2-2026 17% Challenge WEEKLY GROWTH TRACKER SET UP jotform
  • If I remove someone who left the company, how does this impact the combined total?
    • The sales for the team member who has left your salon will be included in the location baseline if the baseline is calculated from a timeframe they were still with the business. Coach your current team members to drive Client Count and Average Ticket to make up for the loss of previous team members.
  • Only part of my team is tracking, who gets included in the combined total?
    • Include all team members in the location tracker.
    • Individual trackers should be for participants only.

Baseline Calculations:

  • Does “Client Count” include unique customers that came over that time or the number of customer visits?  If a customer came twice within that 13-week period, should we use that as our base point number calculations?
    • Client count is the number of visits or transactions. If a guest visits twice within the 13 Week period, they are considered “2” clients.
  • Do we have to track the same Baseline timeline for all staff and Salon or can we set different timelines per provider?
    • Select the same quarter of last year for all unless the team member is new or had a significant schedule shift that would cause the previous year baseline to be irrelevant.
    • If you choose the previous quarter or average of the previous 2 quarters, select the correct box on the digital tracker and clearly communicate where the baseline was calculated from to each team member.
  • For client count should we use the number of tickets or transactions?
    • Transactions per service provider
  • What about retail only transactions? Count or don't count? Exclude Front Line / Guest Care Members?
    • You can include front line/guest care. They’ll track, target and drive retail sales only.
  • What do we check at the top if we have a mix of employees here last year and new employees?
    • For the location tracker, select the same quarter of the previous year.
    • For individual trackers, you can select whichever option makes the most sense for that team member.
  • Is the goal for the team member to hit 17% in both Client Count and Average Ticket?
    • The goal is for each team member to grow their average weekly total sales by 17%.  The digital trackers split the growth (8.5% / 8.5%) evenly between client count and average ticket.
    • You can help your team customize their paper trackers with their own approach, whether it be growth in client count only, average ticket only, or a mix of both.

Weekly Growth Tracking

  • To confirm:  Sales are posted on Mondays, pulling Sunday through Saturday of the week before?
  • Correct. The dates are listed on the digital Weekly Growth Tracker for your reference

Incentives & Team Motivation

  • How can we create some excitement with the staff? You mentioned prizes will be awarded, should we be doing something internally to keep up the excitement, if the prizes from the 17% are divided between all participants in this challenge?
    • You know your team best! If you think internal awards would motivate and engage them, go for it! Just make sure that the reward expense is financially sustainable for you.

Remember: This Is a Challenge, Not a Contest

Me vs. Me is the mindset we’re cultivating at every level. This is about:

Growing beyond your own baseline

Becoming better than you were last week

Building habits that compound over time

90 days to build it. A lifetime to benefit from it.
